Biography of former California Assemblyman Doyle privately published on the occasion of Doyle's 90th birthday, Feb 6., 2005. Soft cover, 204 pp. Inscribed and signed on title page in what may be either Doyle's or his second wife's (Helen's handwriting) as follows: Dear Cherie, A book put together by Helen and we hope you enjoy God Bless Helen and Don. In good+ condition. Glossy pictorial soft covers have light bumping to edges and corners and scuffing to edges along spine with a bit of the color scuffed off along the edges and spine. Light creasing to front cover along spine. Binding tight. Pages clean and unmarked. Black and white illustrations. Doyle (1915 - 2011) served in the California legislature and during World War II he served in the United States Marine Corps. While serving in the California Assembly from 1953-1959, Doyle co-authored the Short-Doyle Mental Health Act with California Senator Alan Short and authored legislation creating the ferry boat transportation system between Benicia and Martinez.
