In good condition. Cream paper pamphlet has several small chips and tears and light creasing along edges. Staple bound. Pages lightly aged but otherwise unmarked. NOT Ex-library. NO remainder marks. George Bird Grinnell (1849 - 1938) was an American anthropologist, historian, naturalist, and writer. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he received his BA and PhD from Yale. Originally specializing in zoology, Grinnell became a prominent early conservationist and student of Native American life. Grinnell has been recognized for his influence on public opinion and work on legislation to preserve the American bison. Mount Grinnell in Glacier National Park in Montana is named after him.
