He has won a Socrates Scholarship in the field of philosophy, so has chosen the highest ranked philosophy program on the scholarship list of universities. As a dedicated Christian from Georgia, Danny is naive as to what he is facing, until he discovers that both he and his faith are under severe attack. Finally, he challenges one of his scorners, Peter Grayson, to just respectfully listen to his point of view. Peter in turn invites Danny to defend his faith before a secret philsophy club meeting on campus. What follow is tense and engaging, as is the story of Danny seeking support and fellowship off campus, where not only does he find a church home, but romance as well.
