In acceptable condition. Orange pictorial paper covers with French flaps have 1" slits on the edges of the top and bottom of the spine and several smaller chips and tears along the edges and at top and bottom of spine. Bumping and creasing to edges and corners. Moderate overall scuffing and soiling to covers as well with the color scuffed off along the edges and spine. Spine is creased but binding is still intact. Pages yellowed but clean and unmarked. NOT Ex-library. NO remainder marks. Includes 16 pages of black and white photos, illustrations and maps at the back. An important contribution to the study of the Galápagos Islands, and noted for its 116 pages of bibliography, especially the listing of reports of scientific expeditions to the islands.
