Small (6.5 x 4.5”) glossy pictorial paper covers have light bumping to edges and light overall scuffing with a bit of the color scuffed off along edges. Binding tight. Previous owner’s name in ink on fore-edge of text block and name and date in ink on front free end paper. A few pages have light Margin notes in ink and the rear free end paper is full of notes ink. Overall a good reading copy. Svalbard is the geographic name of the group of islands situated between latitudes 74 degrees N and 81 degrees N and longitudes 10 degrees E and 35 degrees E. The total land area of the islands within this archipelago comprises about 62,000 square kilometres. This manual explores the flowers of the region, the landscape of which consists of mighty, rugged mountains, with characteristic deep flanks. Flowers covered include the Polar Willow, Alpine Sandwort, Arctic Chickweed, Snow Buttercup, Polar Cress and Yellow Mountain Saxifrage.
