Small (3.75 x 2.5”) book with stiff leatherette-coved boards and gold lettering on front and spine and illustration of grapes and leaves on front. 146 pp. With 24 color illustrations by Herbert Thiele. Text compiled by German poet, writer and journalist, Friedrich Schnack (1888 - 1977) pseudonym: Charles Ferdinand. A pocket-sized collection of short writings, poems and verses, all celebrating wine. Although not technically a “miniature” book (its length is greater than 3”), it is a lovely copy of one of Hyperion-Verlag’s small-scale collectable gift books for which the publisher is so well-known.
