Binding tight (staple bound). Pages lightly aged but otherwise clean and unmarked. NOT Ex-library. NO remainder marks. The Comite Norteamericano Pro Mexico, A.C. (Committee of North Americans for Mexico, Civil Association) was a non-profit organization of US citizens resident in Mexico, formed in 1954 for the purpose of promoting better understanding between the US and Mexico. The Committee focused on providing cooperation and friendly assistance between the two countries both in business and tourism. It encouraged travel from the US to Mexico and promoted a knowledge of Mexico and its people in an effort to contribute to a better understanding between the two countries. This booklet was widely distributed throughout the 1950’s and 60’s and was often updated to reflect the changes in both cultures throughout the turbulent 60’s. This particular copy includes a pasted-in sheet of paper describing "the new look in men's and women's clothes that has hit Mexico like a storm! - hot pants, mini and maxi skirts are seen daily on the streets of larger cities in Mexico.” An interesting glimpse at tourist and business etiquette of 60's tourism in Mexico.
