in good condition with light to moderate overall scuffing, aging and soiling. Lettering on spine is quite rubbed on volumes 1 and 3. Volumes 3 and 4 have some black ink stains on the front cover. Bindings are all solid. Pages are lightly aged but otherwise unmarked with age spotting to paste-downs and occasional light aging and spotting throughout. NOT Ex-Library. Black and illustrations throughout, with a few sections with colored illustrations in volumes I & II (Historia). A classic and most helpful guide to both art and architecture by both country (Volumes 1&2) and artist (Volumes III - V). Each Country's history is divided into further sections which may include Art Indigena, arquitecutra, pintura, escultura, arte precolumbino.
