[From Introduction] This book is intended to give the student a systematic approach to the development of Contemporary and Commercial Rock drumming. I have written these exercises to improve the student’s flexibility and hopefully to stir the student’s creativity. I recommend using a metronome to improve speed, endurance and accuracy. These exercises should be played at 120 beats per minute before they can be considered mastered.[ABOUT THE AUTHOR] Kenny Zail's experience ranges from Rock, Country, Jazz and Classical to backing comics, dancers and magicians. Being one of Chicago's busiest drummers has lead Kenny to working with such people as Elke Sommer, Penny Pryor, P.J. Benjamin" and many others. Presently, Kenny spends his time doing studio work, teaching, and performing in the Midwest.
