Loretta Dorbolò : Quaderni Artisti Italiani D'Oggi N. 526. In Italian. Illustrated folder containing eighteen 9x12" full color reproductions of artist's works on heavy cardstock. Also includes two 4 page (single folio sheet folded to four 8.5x11" sides) essays, by Carlo Sgorlon and Enzo Fabiani, each with black and white illustrations. Loretta Dorbolò was born in San Pietro al Natisone (Udine) in 1950. In 1970 she moved to Concordia sulla Secchia (Modena) where she worked as an elementary teacher and started painting. She began exhibiting her paintings in 1977, gaining rapid public and critical acclaim. After taking part in numerous group shows and reviews, in which she received several prizes and awards, she held personal exhibitions in various public spaces and galleries. In 1983 she was part of the group of painters chosen to illustrate the novel "Il Tesoro del Bigatto" by G. Pederiali. Known for the whimsical, amused and ironic ways of her painting, her work has been requested several times for the illustration of novels and collections of writings. In 1988 Loretta Dorbolò was part of the thirty artists included in the art series "Quelli che contano" by F. Anselmetti, Edizioni Marsilio, presented in Campidoglio. In the same year her works were published in the catalog "Quaderni Artisti Italiani d'oggi" nr. 526, for the Ghelfi Editions.
