The feats of Robin Hood are recounted in the album of pieces full of technical purpose and musical charm. Arranged for piano. Songs include: Robin Hood, Little John, Friar Tuck, The Greenwood Glade, Allan-A-Dale, The Abbott, With Bow And Arrow, Stalking The Deer, The Sheriff of Nottingham, Sherwood Forest, Sir Richard of the Lea and Maid Marian. Suggested grade 1-2. In acceptable+ condition. Green illustrated paper covers have a few small nicks and tears and creasing along edges. Previous owners' "Property of" and name stamps on front cover and original price in ink at top corner. Binding tight (staple bound). Music studio card pocket affixed to inside of rear cover and a brief note in ink on inside of front cover. Otherwise pages are lightly aged but clean and unmarked. A nice reading copy. Leslie Fly was a house composer for Forsyth Bros. Ltd. in the early 1920s. Fly's compositions were marked by literary themes (Arthurian pieces for the pianoforte, pieces based on Robin Hood, etc) and were often intended to be used for teaching purposes.
