Includes a Foreword discussing the importance of the minor novel of the eighteenth century and its growth and influence on the major productions. In acceptable+ condition. Brown paper covers have a few small nicks and tears along edges and light creasing down the middle. Moderate overall scuffing, aging and soiling to covers as well. Binding tight (staple bound). Pages lightly aged but otherwise unmarked with occasional light spotting and soiling. NOT Ex-Library. It would be gratifying, therefore, to see at least a large proportion of these books, which have taken a considerable time to collect, find a permanent home in one of the Public or University Libraries, where they would be accessible to scholars.
